An illusion created in everyone’s minds,
Beliefs in its existence has forever caused pain and misery,
A drug that has no cure,because of the eternal pain it creates!

It brings different meanings to everyone,and the definitions for it never coincide,
Different hallucinations caused by this phenomena means that it’s never true.

It places conditions that should not exist for it to retain its true form,
But despite all the pain and depression it may cause,
Just for that short momentary feeling that you get when its at its best,
The feeling that wipes you away, and makes you feel like you are in seventh heaven,
No-one can live without it!

Tears on the linoleum floor
Pain sewn into the staid armchair
Cries in the hallway
Happiness pushed into the corner
of the dusty book shelf
True emotions pulverized
Words left unspoken.

Bitter laughter pulsating from underneath
Echoes of the screaming
It’s you that’s inside my head
Nostalgia woven into the hem of
my wedding dress

My Heart,
Your Heart,
You broke the connection
I’m staring at the empty space
I’m listening to the audible silence
Words left unspoken.

Now I only write of love
because it does not exist.

My heart is young and free
I wear it so all can see
It battles hard and great
To end up in a fragile state

I think all day and night
To see who is worthy of the fight
As I think who to choose
Only one can win, many will lose

I choose my guy
Cute, funny ‘n’ shy
He seems so perfect
If only i new he wasn’t worth it

Now it’s done and dusted
Its finished and I’m disgusted
To say where back to the start
All over again with my fragile heart

Another change
Nothing new to me.
I’ve been down this road before
I bet It’s plain to see.
Even though the place is something new
I won’t notice it
If I’m here with you.
They say change is drastic
Sometimes overwhelming
But I know
