It’s your birthday. What a fine day.
May kind blessings be with you.
You keep growing. Just keep knowing
Jesus will guide you through
All the dark times that may come this year.

The guiding compass of His Word.
It will keep you, all the day through,
Stable and firmly anchored.

Roses and blossoms bloomed today
Spreading the fragrance all the way
The bees and moths sing today
For it’s the special day

Colours of the rainbow shine so bright
Up in the blue sky twinkle light
Removing the borders and taking my wishes
With all my love and humble kisses

Angels from heaven are here
To wish you the wishes of today
I wish if I were there
To wish you a happy b’day

I wish for you to have
people to love
people in your life who will care about you
as much as I do
blue skies and clear days
exciting things to do
easy solutions to any problems
knowledge to make the right decisions
strength in your values
laughter and fun
goals to pursue
happiness in all that you do
My friend
I wish for you to have
beautiful experiences
each new day
as you follow
your dreams

I want to say I love you on your birthday,
Though love is something you don’t want from me.
Things didn’t go so well when I last said it,
And so I’ll keep it silent in my heart.

But how the words reverberate within me!
A song that I must struggle not to sing,
A music I must dance to without motion,
A poem that I must never read aloud.

Your wishes are a wall I would not scale,
Yet won’t abandon, loathe to leave behind.
I cannot have, and cannot bear to lose you,
And so I send you this in my despair.

On your day just want to say
That you can count on me
To be your friend until the end:
Just wait and you will see!

I know that you would be as true
To me for just as long.
No “if” or “but,” no matter what,
Our friendship will be strong.

So, my dear, I’m glad you’re here
To share my joy and pain.
I care so much, so keep in touch–
I’ll talk to you again!

I miss you on your birthday,
Not only for your smile,
But for the piece of me that’s gone,
Left within your care.

I’m in an empty hallway
And have been for awhile,
Gazing inwardly towards home,
Neither here nor there.

How quickly we’ve turned distant!
The months pass by like years.
How could friends so inseparable
So soon seem so apart!

How imprecise the instant
Held hostage by my tears!
Though Time may seem insatiable,
I have you in my heart.

Happy birthday to the one I love!
All my joy goes out to you today!
Perhaps I learned, the months you were away,
Part of me moves always as you move.
You’re the yearning distance can’t remove,
Bringing life to reveries cold and gray;
In thoughts of you my dreams and passions play,
Rejoicing in a hope that time will prove.
Today I celebrate your day of birth,
Happy in the hour that brought you here,
Drawn by all the music of your worth,
A time for gratitude that you are near.
